So I’ve been meaning meaning to do this review for some time and I finally got a chance. A few months back I purchased the Minotaur MTAC Holster from Comp-Tac to replace my Infidel holster. The Infidel is a good, quality holster but with only one belt clip and the hard kydex a bit uncomfortable when sitting/driving, I decided to see what else was out there.

So, shopping Comp-Tac, I stumbled across this beauty of a holster. It’s made by Minotaur and is a hybrid kydex/leather inside the waistband holster. The nice thing about this style of holster is that the kydex belt straps allow for a very stable and secure carry in addition to allowing you to tuck in your shirt to completely conceal the partially exposed holster; no more un-tucked shirts when carrying.

There are two adjustable tension screws in the holster that allow you to tighten the draw of your weapon. One thing you will notice is that at first, the gun very snugly but as you break in the leather, it of course loosens up and you may need to tighten the tension screws to compensate. The belt clips are easily adjustable in both height and direction which is nice for pants with different belt loop styles and placements.

Perhaps the most important feature of this holster, aside from a quick, reliable draw (which it does have), is the comfort. This is probably the most comfortable IWB holster I have used. Even sitting while driving you don’t feel any hard or protruding edges, only the firm but comfortable feel of the leather. I generally carry this slightly to the right of the small of my back and it is highly concealable.

Overall, this is a quality holster with comfort and concealability being its greatest strengths. It may be a little pricey at $80 but you definitely get what you pay for and the quality is top notch!
