Professor Francisco Lacerda of Stockholm University in Sweden and professor Anders Eriksson of the University of Gothenburg have conducted empirical research that appears to debunk (yet again) the validity of “lie detector” tests. For years, law enforcement, security, military, and insurance agencies have used the results of lie detector tests as indisputable “fact” when it comes to making decisions about the truthfulness of an individual’s claims.
